HOW TO GET THERE – ACCESS

How to get there

Cuevas Al Jatib is located in Andalusia, in the province of Granada. You can arrive by car or bus. The closest train station is Guadix. We are an hour’s drive from the airport in Granada, 90 mins from Almeria and approximately 2 hours and 30 mins from the airports Malaga, Murcia and Alicante.

To get to our caves, the exit that needs to be taken from the A-92 motorway is number 46 (BAZA Este, hospital, ITV). Shortly after, on the roundabout with the stone and iron statue of the “Dama de Baza” (it is the first roundabout for those coming from Granada and the second if you’re coming from Murcia). Follow the sign saying “camino de servicio” and after a couple of metres you will see our sign saying “Cuevas Al Jatib“. Follow the road past fields and olive plantations until you get to a small river which is usually dried out. Cross the riverbed, go right and follow the tarmacked road, we are at the end. You will know when you see our compound because we have a row of cyprus trees at the entrance and big solar panels on top of the caves.

                                                                                                         You have arrived…

From the motorway it is an approximate distance of 2.5km.

From the centre of Baza it takes 5 to 10 mins. Look for the “Carretera de Murcia” in direction Hospital. Go past various roundabouts up to the motorway and you will find the way from the roundabout with the statue mentioned above.
